There will certainly be an antenna on one tower, I don't see the point of a spire...in any case, the base of it would be at least the 1,368 foot level of the old tower. The Sears Tower's 110th floor rises higher than the WTC's did...topping it would involve adding several more floors to the WTC.As I suggested, the added part could take the form of a setback.A spire or antenna would go on top of the set-back portion. > > Many have criticized the WTC in the past as ugly > > boxes. "Windows on the World". None of its employees who were at work have been accounted for...a senior employee was known to my parents at his previous job. This was on the 107th floor of the North Tower. There were observation decks on the 107th and 110th floors of the South Tower. > Said restaurant would NOT be allowed to become mega-expensive, it would > be available to all with reasonably priced coffee and meals and any > profits would go to charity. WotW of course WAS expensive, and had a legendary wine cellar(lost in the collapse,of course). Not sure how to allocate the top spaces...I suggested a memorial garden at the level of the tops of the former towers, with some set-back stories above that that could include restaurants and observation decks. I do think a public observation level should go above any pay-to-get-in facility. But with two towers to work with, would the tops of both be used the same way? > Rob
