Date: Mon, 12 Aug 2002 16:14:50 -0400 (EDT) From: Louis Epstein Subject: WTC Starting Rally Planning,Online-LTTC To End The Online Listening To The City at http://dialogues.listeningtothecity.org/ is in its last day now...final polls are on memorial themes, and YES,THOSE OF US WHO REGISTERED BUT WERE REJECTED CAN STILL VOTE. Under "Memorial:Your Vision" I recommend rating only "Tall Towers/Skyline" as "Exclusively Important", whether you consider the others anywhere from "Very Important" to "Not Important"...that will send the needed message. Meanwhile there has been definite response in favor of holding a rally in lower Manhattan, and we need to see who'll attend and set a date...November 11 just about everyone thinks is too late! The rally should focus firmly on the as-tall-or-taller issue and leave the contentious details out of it. We need to determine the exact location and program and any associated costs, and publicize it with the right lead time for maximum effectiveness. INPUT ON THESE ISSUES IS ENCOURAGED. The petition/literature volunteers (there has been some leafletting but they don't have a table yet) will be working in advance of the rally, and I expect afterward as well.Let's make sure the next public hearing has as supportive an audience as the last one! Of course those of you around the world can at least help by sending supportive emails to the powers that be at each stage of the planning process. Don't forget the Doctoroff Java-Chat August 15th or other upcoming events and deadlines, see http://www.put.com/wtc/ for details.I may be adding past list emails to that site since response to my suggestion has been positive. See you on the 111th floor on 9-11-11! -=-=- The World Trade Center towers MUST rise again, at least as tall as before...or terror has triumphed.
